The multimedia specialist works collaboratively with the instructional / learning designer and subject matter experts in client’s organization to develop innovative and engaging multimedia elements in courseware including audio, video, and graphic/animated components. He/ She ensures that the quality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the outsourced components of content development efforts.
Job Description:
1. Content Development
- Use content authoring tools such as Adobe Indesign, Adobe Animate, iSpring etc to develop e-learning content
- Develop innovative and engaging multimedia elements in courseware including audio, video, and graphic/animated components
- Creates engaging animation-based videos
- Works with project team to design and develop SCORM compliant e-learning
- Develops engaging multimedia content for showcase to clients
2. Multimedia Development
- Creates multimedia products using a variety of software programs, primarily in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Adobe Captivate
- Must deliver products on-time with minimal defects
- Manipulate and edit digital imagery, video and incorporate graphics, and effects
- Manipulate and edit sound using Adobe Audition
3. Graphic Design
- Creates images and animations that identify a concept or convey a message utilizing Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe InDesign
- Develops graphics for e-content
- Selects colours, images, text style, and layout that are professional and convey a specific message
- Incorporates changes recommended by clients
- Reviews designs for errors before submission
- Develops graphics for course catalogues
- Develops user guides from Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
4. SIT integration
- Upload and configure e-training content into learning management system
5. Learning design
- Apply interaction design and interactive learning principles to instructional solutions for adult learners
- Select, modify, and integrate existing instructional materials that employ multimedia and emerging technologies
6. Project Management
- Collaborate with internal teams, external teams, and management to ensure requirements are being met and projects are kept on schedule
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
- Excellent follow-up, time management and organization skills
- Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Illustrator, Graphic Design and/or Video Editing experience is a must
- Intermediate PowerPoint knowledge
- Adobe After Effect, Animate, Photoshop, i-Spring
- Articulate Storyline is a plus
Education/ Technical:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in multimedia design, graphic design
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe InDesign and PowerPoint
- Proactive technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience:
- At least 2 years of demonstrated experience as an e-learning developer
- 1 year of direct experience of using i-Spring or Adobe Captivate 7 to develop content and experience developing video content.
